The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday awarded a total cash prize of Rs nine million to the Pakistan hockey team for winning the 11th South Asian Games earlier this year in Dhaka. PHF secretary general Mohammad Asif Bajwa distributed the cash awards among the players at National Hockey Stadium. The cash awards were announced by Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani for the team while acknowledging their achievement in Bangladesh.
