At least 11 people were killed and many injured early Friday as a suspected US drone aircraft fired three missiles into South Waziristan region on the Afghan border where Pakistani troops are gearing up for an offensive against militants. Suspected US missiles hit a Taliban target in the area controlled by Pakistani Taliban leader and al Qaeda ally Baitullah Mehsud, killing at least 11 people.
