Some one said, ‘fantastic leaders of Pakistan don’t grow on trees’, well they just hang on them? Pakistan needs leadership who does not fear for their lives in their own country, not so corrupt and compromised that national security services needs to keep an eye on them instead of enemies of the state? It is true that higher the position greater the harm can be caused. President Zardari’s and his frequent visits to Turkey probably to famous US station for debriefings have raised many eyebrows.
The bunch of apologists like Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmud Qureshi and non political actors have been installed on Pakistan mostly taken from the line of pre-partition collaborators. Every body knows that current bunch in the government is agreed name by name by the Americans? Well there are many former friends of the Americans hanging high and dry in the various parts of the world. Some one said, ‘one thing is for sure these people will not have a place to hide under the witness protection program’?
The way PPP leadership is apologising to the whole world for the actions beyond their own control is unimaginable. Those who masterminded the Mumbai Bombings must be laughing at the idiotic performance of the PPP government? The whole country is mourning their dead and probably coping well including those 500 people killed since first arrival of late Benazir Bhutto on October 18, 2007 in Karachi. Mr Zardari needs bereavement counselling for right reasons if he hasn’t had one?
He was sharing his experiences with Sonia Gandhi whose husband Rajiv was killed by a Tamil suicide bomber and mother in law Indira Ghandi was killed by her Sikh body guards, which resulted in the killings of more than 15000 Sikhs and 25000, are still missing. There seems to be a pattern whenever Hindu extremists kill Christians in India soon after we see some kind of bombings blaming Muslims. That is what happened in Malgaon bombing on 29th September 2008, which Hemant Karakre was investigating.
Indian paper ‘Economic Times’ wrote about Hemant Karkare on 29th November 2008, “The last television visuals of the 54-year-old officer showed him in a light blue shirt and dark trousers surrounded by uniformed policemen armed with firearms and walkie-talkies. Karkare, a 1982 batch IPS officer, became the head of ATS in January this year following his return to the state cadre after serving seven years in Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in Austria. One of the brightest officers, Karkare had solved the serial bomb blasts in Thane, Vashi, and Panvel and was also credited for the stunning revelations in the investigation of the September 29 blast in Malegaon. He is known for his discipline and fair investigation.
During the Malegaon investigation, Karkare had told his officers not to create false evidence, saying, "We should do our job and it is for the court to decide." Incidentally, the Pune ATS on November 26 reportedly received phone calls threatening to blow up the residence of Karkare "within a couple of days". In his last interview to a television channel yesterday, he referred to getting the custody of Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, and said "police custody would have helped investigations to proceed faster but still we will see how best to deal with it in a legal way".
On the other hand regional countries like Iran a friend of India have suggested that people responsible for the Mumbai attacks could be out side the region. According to Indian Express 29 2008, ‘The Chinese newspaper People’s Daily — has carried a news article, indicating involvement of Hindu radicals in the Mumbai terror attacks. The article has based its argument on a “red thread” worn by the a 29th September sattackers on their wrists. The article — written in Chinese — contributed by its India-based correspondent Ren Yan, noted that although the Deccan Mujahedeen had claimed responsibility for the attack, “it can be seen from the red thread worn by the attackers around their wrists that they could be Hindus”. Unnamed analysts are quoted as saying: “Radical elements from Hinduism could also carry out this attack, because they have long opposed the US’s hegomonistic policies”. It also said that “India’s growing proximity to the US has invoked their strong oppositions. Some within the Hindu community are unhappy with domestic and foreign policies of the Congress-led Government and may have engineered this attack in order to influence the outcome of the approaching general elections.”
In any crisis situation leaders always become careful and use the policy of wait and see? But US a so-called friend of Pakistan was too quick to lecture Pakistan joining hands with Indians and Pakistani corrupt and compromised leaders become numb? The thought of living without US every summer kill them inside? Any normal person would have said, ‘do your investigations first and if there is any help needed we can do something about’? Like Indians didn’t like lecturing of Israelis about the way operation should or should not have be conducted?
India Daily published on 13th January 2007, ‘The Mumbai based group alleged that Al-Qaeda is a front organization of CIA and MOSSAD. "There is enough evidence that the Al-Qaeda is a front organization of the CIA and MOSSAD. The Bush junta has used the bogey of terror and of Al Qaeda to justify his unending and ever expanding Global War on Terror, which is only a means of capturing the resources of the world and of establishing the sole hegemony of Israel in West Asia," said the group of activists and intellectuals.
The spokesman of the group said that sections of the Indian ruling political and military elite are importing the same Bush-Olmert formula into India. "The increasing terror attacks only serve the cause of the Indian elite and divide the masses along communal lines. It is only the ordinary Indians who are the victims of terror either in temples, mosques, buses or trains," he said adding that practically no political leader suffers a similar fate, where the terrorists are apprehended and killed in "encounters". "Every terror attack is meant to push and drag the Indian masses further into the waiting arms of Uncle Sam and the Israeli Goliath. Every terror attack spreads further hatred for Muslims and Islam and weakens the Indian Muslim community," he said. (http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/17121.asp)
A political analyst said, 'all the players to break Pakistan are in place (Zardari, Altaf Hussain, and ANP), one way, or the other. The problem is those who are friends of Pakistan are not sure who to talk to or confide with. Well the game plan is (a) isolate Pakistan from its friends like China, Iran and Saudi Arabia (b) economically cripple Pakistan which will force the country to surrender its nuclear weapons (c) place minorities in power, exploit them and create divisions, which has already happened (see golden circle around Zardari and choices in transfers and postings since 18th February 2008). (d) Demonise the armed forces of Pakistan (e) India friendly government in Pakistan and anti Pakistan government in Afghanistan (f) Outsourced foreign stooge Altaf Hussain is acting on the instructions of his protectors from his terrorist den so called MQM international Secretariat in London. It is more of an intelligence gathering centre for Bush Bhai (brother) now, as it was for Clinton Bhai before but would it continue for Obama Bhai? Their phone bills will show the faxes and emails sent to White House. Altaf Hussain is clearly and evidently toeing the Indo-US agenda of breaking Pakistan? He and his party has harmed Pakistan economically and politically more than any one else. It is concerning that 'extortion money of $ millions' is being transferred to London from Karachi by Altaf group according to news reports.
Does Pakistan need any body’s permission to move its armed forces? People of Pakistan are free to move and can live any where they like including Karachi and don’t need any permission. Well when US and others dumped Afghanistan after defeat of Soviet Union who should have moved forward?
One-sided love story of Zardari and Gillani with India must end and Pakistan should tell the US that people will not be able to cope with this ‘love me and love my dog’ policy. A comprehensive peace policy based on equality, trust, human rights, integration, justice, rule of law, protecting the rights of minorities, involving all the countries in the region like China, Russia, and Iran in decision making and EU as observer is urgently required.
Many months ago a senior US politician with experience in foreign policy said, ‘there is going to be a big incident in South Asia’. That incident probably has already happened in Mumbai and back fired?
